[ THE APPLICATION GAP ]
of workers now use AI at work daily or weekly.
got any AI training from their employer in the last six months.
of companies haven’t redesigned a single job around AI.
Sources: The Conference Board, July 2026 (survey of ~1,300 workers); Deloitte, State of AI in the Enterprise, 2026 edition (3,235 business and IT leaders).
[ THE PROBLEM ]
Most people using AI at work taught themselves. On the organization side, it’s the same gap from the other direction: the tools got handed out, and the work stayed exactly the same.
You’ve probably felt this. You ask for a status update and get something that sounds right and says nothing. You rewrite the prompt three times. You catch a number it made up, and now you’re not sure what else it made up. Eventually it’s faster to just do it yourself.
That’s not a you problem. It’s an application problem. Access to AI and knowing how to use it well are two different things, and nobody bothered to teach the second one.
THE RE-PROMPT LOOP
Try 1
Sounds right. Says nothing.
Try 2
Closer. Still generic.
Try 3
A number it made up. What else did it make up?
Result
You do it yourself. The tab stays open for next time.

[ WHAT YOU’LL LEARN ]
This isn’t a lecture on the future of work. You’ll spend most of the hour doing the thing, on realistic tasks, with templates you keep.

01 · Prompting
Brief It
“Did I give it what a new hire would need?”
Write prompts the way you’d brief a sharp new hire: role, goal, context, constraints, format. Get a usable first draft in one or two tries instead of five.
You keep: Delegation Brief
02 · Verification
Check It
“What in this could be wrong, and how would I know?”
Spot the four ways AI output goes wrong: made-up facts, missing caveats, outdated info, and answering the wrong question. Match your checking to the stakes.
You keep: Verification Pass
03 · Workflow Integration
Place It
“Where does this actually belong in my work?”
Sort any recurring task into Delegate, Draft With, or Keep. Know which parts of your job should stay human, and leave with one change you’ll make this week.
You keep: Workflow Map
[ HOW THE HOUR WORKS ]
15 min
Learn it
One clear framework. Live demos, not slides about demos.
15 min
Discuss it
Small groups work through real edge cases. Where does this go wrong?
20 min
Practice it
You run three prompt templates in your own AI tool on sample material.
10 min
Apply it
Map it to a task you do every week.

[ WHO IT’S FOR ]
This is for you if
You already have ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar, and use it at least occasionally.
Your work involves a lot of coordinating, summarizing, drafting, and reporting.
You want output you’d put your name on, not just output that sounds finished.
Probably not for you if
You want a technical deep dive on building AI agents or writing code.
You’ve never opened an AI tool. Start there, then come back. It’ll make more sense.
[ WHAT YOU GET ]
Everything you need to keep going after the hour.
60 minutes of live, hands-on instruction
Three reusable prompt templates: Delegation Brief, Verification Pass, Workflow Map
The Monday Card: a one-task action plan you finish before you leave
The Enterprise AI Fluency Assessment: a one-page diagnostic to bring to your manager
Session recording, available for 30 days

[ A NOTE FROM YOUR FACILITATOR ]
I’ve sat through a lot of AI training. Most of it is either a keynote about where the world is headed or a lecture on prompt tricks nobody remembers by Friday. I’m a consultant, so I’m aware of the irony of saying this, but people learn by doing the work, not by watching a slide about the work.
So that’s how this hour runs. You’ll use your own tool, on realistic tasks, and leave with something you’ll use on Monday. If you don’t, I haven’t done my job.
